[Job Description] Matsuo Research Institute Co., Ltd. is an AI startup originating from the Matsuo-Iwasawa Laboratory at the University of Tokyo. We are driving projects that apply AI to industrial, administrative, and social challenges by implementing cutting-edge knowledge cultivated through research. In this position, you will lead AI development projects as a Project Manager, from problem definition to design and implementation. This role involves collaborating with JTC-class client companies and in-house researchers and engineers to create new value through the use of AI. This is a challenging position requiring a high level of engineering ability, a strong desire to constantly keep up with the latest technologies, project management skills, and business communication skills with clients. [Detailed Job Description] * Hearing about management and business challenges, planning and defining requirements for AI application themes * Methodology research, paper survey (including research on technology seeds outside of the Matsuo Lab, and implementation of papers) * Data analysis, model design, formulation of evaluation policies, and design of development roadmaps * PoC (including coding) and application mock-up creation using cutting-edge AI technologies such as natural language processing, image generation/recognition, speech recognition, reinforcement learning, and robotics * Team building with engineers/interns, progress management, quality control, and talent development * Negotiation and relationship building with clients, creation and submission of results reports [Overview of the Assigned Organization] You will belong to a joint research team. Qualifications (Required) (Experience in one of the following): ・Experience leading the planning, proposal, and execution of data and AI-based solutions to clients' management and business challenges. ・Experience planning and promoting PoCs in AI and data utilization projects. ・Experience driving projects beyond PoC to implementation and operation in a production environment. Qualifications (Preferred) ・Experience in thoroughly reading and implementing research papers. ・Experience in making proposals to clients and other departments within the company.
