You will be conducting research and development of new technologies and acquiring cell big data that will lead to our goal of "data-driven cell control." We are looking for researchers who are motivated by a wide range of research and development, from basic to applied, and who can promote the development of technologies for the practical application of new drug discovery and regenerative medicine and their commercialization using bioinformatics, machine learning, statistics, and mathematical science. We can analyze large-scale, high-precision cell big data, which is possible only because we are developing new experimental technologies. Our research projects include [A] in-house research projects and [B] research projects conducted in collaboration with other companies. [A] In-house research project: Research and development of cell control technology that integrates single-cell/large-scale transcriptome analysis technology and cell culture optimization technology (Example of research project) ・ "Multiple types of cell lines × Research to acquire genetic profile data and metadata of "various cell states" and promote the construction of our own integrated database - Research to improve the efficiency of the throughput of single-cell and large-scale transcriptome analysis technology by one order of magnitude or more compared to the current level - Research to build a cell culture system in a microspace, a micro-medium preparation system, and a multifaceted cell evaluation system to improve the throughput of culture condition screening by two orders of magnitude or more compared to the current level - Research to advance elemental technologies through laboratory automation and significantly improve the data acquisition process [B] Research projects conducted in collaboration with other companies: Collaborative research and commissioned research with other companies in the fields of drug discovery and regenerative medicine using our own technology (Examples of research projects) - Phenotypic drug discovery and clinical biomarker search using single-cell and large-scale transcriptome data - Search for quality markers for cell medicines and optimization of culture conditions using single-cell and large-scale transcriptome technology Depending on suitability, you may be ordered to transfer to work specified by the company.
Ideal Profile
[MUST] - Basic knowledge of molecular biology and bioinformatics - Completion of a doctoral course in a bioinformatics-related field, or at least one year of practical experience in bioinformatics-related work - Basic knowledge of statistics and machine learning (hypothesis testing, linear models, cross-validation, etc.) - Programming experience (Python or R) [WANT] - Experience in omics data analysis, including NGS - Research and development experience in the fields of drug discovery and regenerative medicine - Experience collaborating with experimental researchers
Work Location
Either the Nihonbashi office or the Kobe research lab *Remote work may also be used, and full remote work is possible depending on experience In addition, you may be ordered to transfer to a business location designated by the company (including reassignment that requires relocation).
Phd. Stating Salary
Annual salary: 6-12 million yen *Determined based on experience, ability, age, etc. Salary increase once a year, overtime allowance
