Work Detail
You will be conducting research and development of new technologies and acquiring cellular big data that will lead to our goal of "data-driven cell control." We are seeking researchers who are motivated by a wide range of research and development, from basic to applied, and who will use bioinformatics, machine learning, statistics, and mathematical science to promote the development and commercialization of technologies for new drug discovery and the practical application of regenerative medicine. You will be able to analyze large-scale, highly accurate cellular big data, which is possible only because we are developing new experimental technologies. Our research projects include [A] in-house research projects and [B] research projects conducted in collaboration with other companies. [A] In-house research project: Research and development of cell control technology that integrates single-cell/large-scale transcriptome analysis technology and cell culture optimization technology. (Example of a research project) - "Multiple types of cell lines × Research to acquire genetic profile data and metadata for various cell states and promote the construction of our proprietary integrated database. Research to improve the efficiency of single-cell and large-scale transcriptome analysis technology by at least one order of magnitude compared to current levels. Research to develop a micro-space cell culture system, a micro-medium preparation system, and a multifaceted cell evaluation system to improve culture condition screening throughput by at least two orders of magnitude compared to current levels. Research to enhance core technologies through laboratory automation and significantly improve the data acquisition process. [B] Research projects conducted in collaboration with other companies: Collaborative and contract research with other companies in the fields of drug discovery and regenerative medicine utilizing our own technologies. (Examples of research projects) Phenotypic drug discovery and clinical biomarker discovery using single-cell and large-scale transcriptome data Identification of quality markers for cell medicines and optimization of culture conditions using single-cell and large-scale transcriptome technology Depending on aptitude, you may be ordered to transfer to work specified by the company.
Ideal Profile
[MUST] - Fundamental knowledge of molecular biology and bioinformatics - Completion of a PhD in a bioinformatics-related field or at least one year of work experience in bioinformatics-related fields - Basic knowledge of statistics and machine learning (hypothesis testing, linear models, cross-validation, etc.) - Programming experience (Python or R) [WANT] - Experience in omics data analysis, including NGS - R&D experience in drug discovery and regenerative medicine - Experience collaborating with experimental researchers
Work Location
Either the Nihonbashi office or the Kobe research lab. *Remote work may also be combined, and full remote work is possible depending on experience. Please note that you may be ordered to transfer to a company-designated office (including reassignment requiring relocation).
Phd. Stating Salary
Annual salary: 6-12 million yen *Determined based on experience, ability, age, etc. Salary increase once a year, overtime pay
