Lead the Revolution in Cancer Early Detection HIROTSU Bioscience Co., Ltd. is seeking two postdoctoral researchers to further advance the research and development of "N-NOSE," the world's first primary cancer screening test using nematodes. Our goal is clear: To create a society where early detection of cancer is commonplace. To achieve this, we are working to dramatically improve cancer type identification accuracy and screening accuracy by integrating our unique technology utilizing the olfactory sense of nematodes with molecular biology, AI, and data science. This position seeks a researcher who will proactively lead from research theme design to results generation, rather than simply being an experimenter. Ideal Profile
Application Requirements [Required] PhD in a science-related field (including those expected to obtain one) (Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Medicine, Pharmacy, Engineering, Agriculture, etc.) Japanese: Native level English: Academic reading and writing skills, conversational level [Preferred] Research experience using nematodes Knowledge of AI, machine learning, and statistical analysis Programming skills such as Python/R Publishing experience as first author or corresponding author Experience securing competitive research funding Experience in startup or industry-academia collaborative research [Desired Candidate Profile] Ability to proactively drive research themes Curiosity to challenge new research areas Ability to create results as part of a team Desire to deliver research results to society Your research may change the future of cancer screening. Annual Salary: ¥4,000,000 - ¥6,000,000 [Remarks] Monthly salary: ¥333,333 - ¥500,000 (Basic salary: ¥268,955 - ¥403,433, Fixed overtime pay: ¥64,378 - ¥96,567) [Bonus History] None [Overtime] Yes [Remarks] Equivalent hours for fixed overtime pay: 30 hours/month. Overtime exceeding this will be paid separately.
