Satellite Laser Driver Development Engineer

Work Detail

We are developing payload equipment and satellites for the Space Debris Removal Project, which uses lasers to remotely control the attitude and orbit of space objects (debris), and the Satellite LiDAR Project, which uses lasers to observe the Earth's surface from satellites. We are looking for an engineer to develop drivers for lasers, which are a major component of the Mission Department. Specific duties are as follows: - Design, prototype, and evaluate various drivers for pulsed solid-state lasers - Development of test equipment for various drivers for pulsed solid-state lasers - Design for mounting various drivers for pulsed solid-state lasers on satellites Note: We welcome those who would like to gain experience in laser development or master it through consultation with support from engineers with over 20 years of experience in laser development. In addition, experience is not required for tasks specific to the space field (satellite mounting design, environmental testing, etc.), which are not required for ground device development, as we will be supported by engineers with over 30 years of experience in satellite development.

Ideal Profile

- Master's or doctoral degree in engineering or science (including prospective doctoral degree holders) Other experience or knowledge in any of the following is preferred. - Experience in low-noise signal processing, wideband (up to several hundred MHz) baseband signal processing, and analog-digital mixed signal processing - Experience in the space industry - Passion for new technology development: Interested in laser and optical technology, willing to take on unknown phenomena and persistently pursue solutions. - Customer-oriented technological innovation: Willing to take on new technologies to realize customer value, will be able to quickly respond to development issues, and be committed to producing results. - Analytical ability and prioritization: Can logically analyze issues, prioritize measures after considering their effectiveness and feasibility, and take action. - Ability to gather and analyze information: Sensitive to trends in the market and academic circles, actively gather and analyze information, and utilize knowledge. - Collaborative and communication skills: Ability to work with teams and customers, communicate smoothly, and enjoy solving problems.

What we especially look for in a PhD or postdoctoral fellow

We expect those who have obtained a doctorate or are planning to obtain a doctorate to be involved in development as "immediate assets" based on their expertise and the experience they have gained through the research process.
