[About this position] HIROTSU Bioscience is developing "N-NOSE," the world's first primary cancer screening test using nematodes, and aims to realize a society where "early detection of cancer is commonplace." The Shonan R&D Center is currently promoting multiple research projects in parallel, including improving the accuracy of cancer type identification, developing new screening technologies, and integrating with AI/data science. This position requires you to possess research expertise while also taking on a management role in driving projects and teams across the entire center. Under the Center Director, you will be a core figure connecting researchers/staff with headquarters and other locations, balancing research acceleration with organizational stability. [Job Responsibilities] ・Management of R&D in collaboration with the Center Director ・Concretizing research policies and implementing them within the team in collaboration with the Center Director ・Progress management, scheduling, and risk management of research projects ・Management and training of researchers and staff ・Participation in experimental design and data analysis (as a playing manager) ・Academic presentations (paper writing, conference presentations) ・Intellectual property management ・Information sharing and operational cooperation with headquarters and other locations (Fukuoka R&D, Tokyo Testing Center) ・Liaison for collaborative research with universities, hospitals, and companies ・Promotion of documentation of research results and knowledge standardization
Ideal Profile
Desired Candidate Profile [Required] ・Research experience in science fields such as life sciences, biosciences, medicine, pharmacy, agriculture, and engineering (PhD or higher, 5+ years of leadership experience) ・Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and coordinating between teams as a leader ・Experience leading and managing team members (leader, chief, PI assistant, etc.) ・Japanese: Native level ・English: Business level (for use in overseas business) [Preferred] ・Research experience using nematodes ・Research experience overseas ・Experience in patent application and intellectual property management ・Knowledge of AI, machine learning, and data analysis (Python / R, etc.) ・Experience in startups and industry-academia collaborative research ・Experience in obtaining competitive research grants and subsidies [Desired Candidate Profile] ・Individuals who possess both a passion for research and the ability to coordinate and lead a team ・Individuals who can communicate flexibly with members from diverse backgrounds ・Individuals who can act as a bridge between the field and management, gaining the trust of both sides ・Individuals who can respond flexibly to ambiguous situations and changes and move forward positively ・Individuals who have a strong desire to deliver their research results to society

Annual salary: ¥5,000,000 - ¥7,500,000 ◆ Salary increase (once a year) ◆ Transportation allowance provided (up to ¥50,000/month)
