Job Description • Research and development on large-scale language models and large-scale visual language models • Construction of development infrastructure for large-scale language models and large-scale visual language models • Data engineering and construction of data infrastructure • Publication of research results in academic papers Mission • To conduct research and development on large-scale language models and large-scale visual language models and return the results obtained to the business • Problem solving for various issues such as model learning methods, data processing, and evaluation Attractiveness of the Job You will conduct research and development on large-scale language models and large-scale visual language models from scratch using our company's largest computing infrastructure in Japan. Mainly, you will improve the model learning infrastructure, improve model learning methods, and continuously improve model performance through data engineering.
Ideal Profile
Required Qualifications • Experience in team development using software development platforms such as GitHub • Master's degree in information science or a similar field, or equivalent experience • Experience in reading and reproducing implementations of research papers, or modifying algorithms Preferred Qualifications • Research and development experience in large-scale language models and large-scale visual language models • Experience in large-scale data analysis and curation • Experience in developing machine learning models using distributed parallel environments such as Megatron-LM and PyTorch • Doctoral degree in information science or a similar field • Project leader/sub-leader experience • Experience in building DevOps/MLOps environments • Experience in having papers accepted at top conferences/top journals in the computer science field Desired Candidate Profile • Individuals who resonate with our business content and mission, and who possess a willingness and motivation to take on new challenges.
What we especially look for in a PhD or postdoctoral fellow
• A doctoral degree in information science or a similar field.

Phd. Stating Salary
Monthly salary: ¥541,667 - ¥1,500,000 Estimated annual income: ¥6,500,000 - ¥18,000,000 *The upper limit is not applicable. *Monthly salary/Estimated annual income: Base salary + Fixed overtime allowance (equivalent to 35 hours) *Overtime allowance applies only to general staff, and if you work more than the fixed overtime allowance (35 hours), it will be paid according to your actual hours worked. *Additional incentives may be paid.
