Work Detail
At ARAYA, we are developing a "highly efficient skills transfer system" that enables the rapid transfer of advanced skills from experienced professionals. In this position, you will be responsible for the entire process, from acquiring multimodal data from experienced and novice professionals to difference modeling, VR/EMS feedback design, and PoC (Proof of Concept) demonstration, aiming to create research results that can be implemented in society. [Specific Examples of Work] 1. Construction of a Multimodal Measurement Environment • Motion Capture (OptiTrack, etc.) • IMU, sEMG, EEG, Eye Movement • Camera Video, Audio 2. Construction of a Skill Difference Model between Experts and Beginners • Integrated Analysis of Motion Trajectory, Electromyography, Electroencephalography, IMU, and Gaze • Skill Level Classification using Time Series Models (RNN/Transformer/CNN) • Feature Extraction and Skill Analysis 3. Implementation of a Real-Time Feedback System • Visual Feedback using VR/AR • Motion Guidance using EMS (Real-Time Control) • Development of a Mechanism to "Quantify" the Tacit Knowledge of Experts and Transmit it to Beginners 4. PoC Demonstration and Evaluation • Skill Acquisition Experiments for Beginners/Inexperienced Individuals • Verification of Acquisition Speed and Performance Improvement
Ideal Profile
Required Skills Degree • PhD in a related field, or expected to obtain one • Even without a PhD, equivalent achievements and experience Technical Skills • Python / ML (PyTorch or TensorFlow) • Time-series data analysis (motion/biometric signals) • Experience with measurement (multiple of the following): MoCap, IMU, EMG, EEG, etc. Experience with Data Acquisition and Experiment Management • HCI / XR • Interaction development using Unity or Unreal Engine • Prototyping ability using VR/AR Research Execution Ability • Ability to independently design experiments, submit ethical applications, and design protocols • Ability to perform both data analysis and system construction Preferred Skills • Experience with EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) control • Research experience in areas such as skilled techniques, manual training, and sports science • Digital twin construction (Unity/Blender/physical simulation) • Robotics / Exercise Science / Knowledge of control engineering - Experience integrating multimodal AI models (vision + IMU + EMG, etc.) - Experience presenting research at international conferences/journals - Experience managing large-scale experiments (approximately 10-30 people) Desired candidate profile - Passion for research spanning AI, HCI, and biometric measurement - Ability to independently develop and shape uncharted themes - A "T-shaped researcher" capable of managing both experimentation and system development - Strong interest in skills transfer/human augmentation/NeuroTech - Desire to scientifically analyze the "tacit knowledge" of experts and create next-generation skills training models
