Mazda's technical/IT roles encompass everything from advanced research to product planning, development, production, and quality assurance. * Advanced Research: Towards a future where the Earth, society, and automobiles can coexist, we quickly anticipate changes in society and the market, pursue the possibilities of new technologies, and create and propose innovative technologies that enhance the appeal of our products. * Product Planning: Based on customer feedback and analysis of social and market trends, we create target customers, product lineups, technology strategies, and product concepts, and establish the fundamentals for packaging, powertrain performance, and equipment deployment to realize those concepts. * Powertrain Development: To provide the world with "driving pleasure" and "superior environmental performance," we promote multi-solutions. We efficiently develop new technologies and units/products through model-based development. * Vehicle Development: We efficiently and effectively develop and introduce highly appealing products to the market, formulating and developing world-class new product concepts while maintaining overall balance and evaluating product quality/reliability at the vehicle level. • Production Technology: As a department supporting Mazda's manufacturing, we develop innovative technologies and deploy them at domestic and international locations. We are also responsible for plant construction and maintenance with a view to carbon neutrality. • We also have positions in quality assurance, intellectual property, etc.
