[Job Details] - Acoustic model and language model adaptation in speech recognition, end-to-end modeling, diarization, and application of Kaldi/ESPnet - Time-series signal processing in acoustics, speech enhancement, and noise reduction - Collaborating with Honda Group companies and sister companies to develop strategies for acoustics and speech recognition research As a future team leader, you are expected to be responsible for formulating strategies in this field, proposing new technologies and research topics, managing projects, mentoring team members and junior colleagues, collaborating with internal and external experts to build networks, and presenting results publicly. [Job Features] This position involves leading cutting-edge technologies, including next-generation acoustics and speech recognition research, by planning, proposing, implementing, and conducting experiments. You will actively research and make recommendations, including publishing your own papers. By leveraging your experience and knowledge, you will be able to independently plan and propose research directions, goals, approaches, and plans, making this a challenging position. - Speech recognition algorithms (acoustic models, language models, end-to-end models, diarization, etc.) - Acoustic processing algorithms (time-series signal processing, speech enhancement, noise reduction, etc.) - Machine learning algorithms related to the above (deep learning, etc.) Based on Honda's shared philosophy of "technology for people," we will leverage our experience and knowledge to lead research and development with speed and innovative ideas, striving to be unique in the world. We will grasp cutting-edge trends in the fields of acoustics and speech recognition, clarify the value of the technical research we should undertake, and proactively promote research on next-generation acoustic and speech recognition algorithms. We will also aim for even better results through rapid prototyping, experimentation, analysis, and feedback, with specific application fields and users in mind. We will actively disseminate research results externally through international conferences and papers, thereby enhancing our company's presence. This project will be promoted as a research project under the Research Division Manager (Research Division). Research projects are proposed by researchers themselves, including the content and budget, and are launched with board approval. - Approximately half of our employees are foreign nationals, creating a truly international workplace. Communication within the company is conducted daily in both Japanese and English. - The workplace is located within Honda Motor Co.'s Wako Campus, a suburban office building that has won numerous awards. - Researchers have a great deal of discretion, and we actively encourage the external presentation of their research results. Ideal Profile

[MUST] - Experience in theoretical or experimental research on acoustic and speech recognition algorithms - Proven track record of presentations at international conferences or publications related to acoustic and speech recognition - 3+ years of software development experience (Python, C/C++, etc.) [WANT] - Business-level English (spoken and written) - A strong affinity with our company's vision and mission - Experience in collaborative research with overseas research institutes or business ventures is a plus
