[Job Details] - Acoustic model and language model adaptation in speech recognition, end-to-end model, diarization, application of Kaldi/ESPnet - Time series signal processing in acoustic processing, speech enhancement, noise reduction - Collaborating with Honda group companies and sister companies to plan strategies for acoustic and speech recognition research In the future, as a team leader, we expect you to be able to formulate strategies in this field, propose new technologies and research themes, manage projects, mentor team members and junior colleagues, cooperate with internal and external experts to build networks, and make external presentations. [Job Features] This job involves planning and proposing, implementing, and conducting experiments on next-generation acoustic and speech recognition research, and working on cutting-edge technologies with a view to application. You will actively conduct research and make recommendations, including publishing your own papers. You will be able to utilize your experience and knowledge to plan and propose research directions, goals, approaches, plans, etc., and engage in challenging work. - Speech recognition algorithms (acoustic models, language models, end-to-end models, diarization, etc.) - Acoustic processing algorithms (time series signal processing, speech enhancement, noise reduction, etc.) - Machine learning algorithms related to the above (deep learning, etc.) Based on Honda's shared philosophy of "technology for people," we will utilize our experience and knowledge to lead research and development with speed and innovative ideas, aiming to be unique in the world. We will grasp the cutting-edge trends in the field of acoustics and speech recognition, clarify the value of the technical research we should undertake, and proactively promote research on next-generation acoustic and speech recognition algorithms. We will also aim for better results through rapid prototyping, experiments, analysis, and feedback, assuming specific application fields and users. We will actively disseminate the research results obtained through international conferences and papers, etc., and will be responsible for improving our company's presence. Promoted as a research project under the Research Division Manager (Affiliated department: Research Division). Research projects are proposed by the employees themselves, including the content and budget, and are launched with the approval of the board. - Approximately half of all employees are foreign nationals, making it an international workplace. Ideal Profile

[MUST] - Experience in theoretical or experimental research on acoustic/speech recognition algorithms - Proven track record of presentations at international conferences or publications in journals related to acoustic/speech recognition - More than 3 years of software development experience (Python, C/C++, etc.) [WANT] - Business-level English (conversational and written) - People who share our company's vision and mission - Experience in joint research with overseas research institutes or business is preferred
