Work Detail

You will be primarily responsible for research and development using genome editing to create new plant varieties. Depending on your abilities, you will be able to proactively advance research from design to implementation. Depending on your experience, you will also be responsible for mentoring other members. Our main technologies are as follows: 【Genome Editing Technology】 A unique platform applicable to various crops and varieties. Genome editing is one of the solutions for rapid variety development. Grand Green develops new seedlings using its proprietary crop genome editing platform technology. ★Grand Green's Unique Core Technologies ① Versatile Delivery Technology "gene App™" A unique, highly efficient delivery technology applicable to various practical varieties of various plant species. Conventional Agrobacterium methods utilize foreign genes, requiring genetic modification and tissue culture, thus requiring a certain period of time. gene App™ does not involve genetic modification and does not require tissue culture, making it possible to perform highly efficient genome editing in a shorter period of time compared to conventional technologies. (Patent Pending) ② Original Genome Editing Kit "3GE (triple GE)™" Conventional genome editing tools (enzymes) and vectors for expressing these enzymes were not optimized for crops. 3GE™ provides highly efficient genome editing through a genome editing tool and expression vector uniquely modified for plant cells. (Patent Pending) ③ Genomics Under the guidance of an experienced team of experts, primarily PhD holders in plant science and breeders, we utilize next-generation sequencers (NGS) for high-speed and accurate DNA sequencing, along with proprietary data analysis and networks, to identify target genes. ★ AI-Powered Promoter Region Genome Editing Technology "Promoter AI™" is Patented "Promoter AI™" is an AI-powered promoter region genome editing technology that adjusts gene expression levels while maintaining gene function by editing the promoter region, which determines gene expression intensity, based on AI predictions. This enables not only conventional functional knockout genome editing but also functional enhancement genome editing, enabling groundbreaking trait fertilization and is expected to revolutionize plant variety development. ★In October 2024, we established a joint industry-academia research chair (commonly known as the "Future Crop Lab") at Nagoya University. Ideal Profile

[Eligibility Requirements] * Graduate degree or higher. A PhD is particularly desirable (or expected to be obtained). * A strong desire to contribute to the social implementation of basic technologies in the agricultural field. * Ability to work collaboratively with other researchers/research assistants. * Proficiency in molecular biological techniques in plants.

Phd. Stating Salary

* Monthly salary: ¥375,000 and up (Estimated annual income: ¥4,500,000 and up; determined based on experience and position) * Discretionary work system for specialized professional work applies (Deemed working hours per day: 9 hours 45 minutes)
