Work Detail

You will be mainly responsible for research and development using genome editing to create new varieties. Depending on your abilities, you will be able to independently conduct research from design to implementation. Depending on your experience, you will also be responsible for instructing other members. Our main technologies are as follows. [Genome editing technology] Unique platform applicable to various crops and varieties Genome editing is one of the solutions for rapid variety development. At Grand Green, we develop new seeds and seedlings using our proprietary genome editing platform technology for crops. ★Grand Green's unique core technology ① Gene App™, a versatile delivery technology A unique, highly efficient delivery technology that can be applied to various practical varieties of various plant species. The conventional Agrobacterium method utilizes foreign genes, which requires genetic recombination and tissue culture, and therefore requires a certain period of time. gene App™ does not involve genetic recombination and does not require tissue culture, so it is possible to perform highly efficient genome editing in a short period of time compared to conventional technologies. (Patent pending) ② Original genome editing kit "3GE (triple GE)™" Previous genome editing tools (enzymes) and vectors that express enzymes were not optimized for crops. 3GE™ provides highly efficient genome editing using genome editing tools and expression vectors that have been uniquely improved for plant cells. (Patent pending) ③ Genomics Under a team of experienced experts, mainly consisting of plant science PhDs and breeders, we use next-generation sequencers (NGS) that quickly and accurately determine DNA base sequences, as well as our own data analysis and network to identify target genes. ★Promoter AI™, a genome editing technology for promoter regions using AI, has been patented Promoter AI™, a genome editing technology for promoter regions using AI, is a technology that adjusts the expression level while maintaining the function of the gene by editing the promoter region, which determines the strength of gene expression, based on AI predictions. This makes it possible to impart groundbreaking traits through genome editing that not only allows for conventional loss-of-function but also enhances function, and is expected to bring about innovation in plant breeding. ★Opening an industry-academia collaborative research course (commonly known as the Future Crop Lab) at Nagoya University in October 2024 We are also actively conducting collaborative research with academic researchers, and will continue to promote the development of new crops and technologies through industry-academia collaboration. Phd. Stating Salary

・Monthly salary: 375,000 yen and up (expected annual salary: 4,500,000 yen and up: determined based on experience and position) *Professional discretionary work system applies (estimated working hours per day: 9 hours 45 minutes)
