Development of EMC performance and design requirements for mobility in the electrified and SDV era (Specialist)

Work Detail

[Features] With the evolution of electrification, SDV (Software-Defined Vehicle), charging infrastructure, and wireless communication, EMC (Electromagnetic Computing) in mobility is expanding to include harmony with social infrastructure. We are seeking individuals who can take on the challenge of developing EMC testing methods to support the safety and security of next-generation mobility. [Job Description] [Overview] Toyota is pursuing a comprehensive strategy to meet regional needs, and is advancing various technological developments, including electric vehicles, SDV, and charging infrastructure. In this expanding electrification landscape, we are working on developing EMC design technologies to harmonize the electromagnetic environment. In this changing environment, EMC performance is not only about compliance with regulations, but also a fundamental performance aspect that supports product quality and reliability that customers can use with confidence. This position involves developing EMC performance, evaluation, measurement, and analysis technologies for mobility and electrified systems. [Responsibilities] * EMC performance development for electrified systems, in-vehicle ECUs, sensors, communication equipment, power electronics components, etc. * Measurement, analysis, and interpretation of EMC issues, implementation into design requirements, and feedback to relevant design departments. * Development of evaluation methods and design techniques considering high-frequency applications such as the 6GHz band, charging EMC, semiconductor/electronic component switching, and BCP/EOL compliance. * Evaluation of actual vehicles, benches, and components; electromagnetic field simulation; and improvement of evaluation efficiency and reproducibility through data utilization. * Promotion of cross-departmental development projects; collaborative discussions with suppliers, universities/research institutions, and industry associations. [Expected Position] A person in charge of EMC performance, design requirements, and evaluation/analysis technology for mobility and electrified systems / future leader. [Career Image] After completing the above job as an entry-level position, you can broaden your expertise and advance your career to a professional leader or manager by taking on other EMC-related tasks (element technology development, test laboratory management, etc.) according to your aptitude and preferences. ■Expected Role for this Position: Team Leader/Manager [Background of Recruitment] The diversification of electrification systems, the advancement of SDV, connected and autonomous driving, and the high integration of semiconductors and electronic components are increasing the difficulty and importance of EMC performance design. To efficiently and reliably advance future vehicle development, we need individuals who can identify EMC issues early and translate them into design requirements through measurement, analysis, and simulation.
