Work Detail

This position is a contract for a "practical adaptation confirmation period (6 months)" with the premise of permanent employment as a Data Science Engineer. During this period, we will mutually confirm your adaptability to our research and analysis processes and values ​​through practical work, including not only your skills but also your attitude and communication. Rather than selection based on specific tests or uniform evaluation criteria, we will prioritize your approach to practical work, your growth process, and your willingness to learn, when deciding on permanent employment. After becoming a permanent employee, you will take on a central role in actual projects as a Bioinformatics Engineer/AI Engineer, depending on your aptitude, aspirations, and area of ​​expertise. Ideal Profile

Required (It's difficult without it) PhD holder or currently pursuing a PhD Persons with prior research experience in academia (any field) Interest in the life sciences field (knowledge and practical experience are not required) Ability to actively communicate regarding work-related matters Native Japanese speaker or equivalent Japanese language proficiency (guideline: JLPT N1 or higher) Preferred (It would be a plus) Experience in collaborative research and development in the life sciences field Experience in securing competitive funding Publication in academic journals Presentation experience at prominent international conferences in various fields

What we especially look for in a PhD or postdoctoral fellow

Applicants must hold a PhD or be currently seeking one. Applicants must have prior research experience in academia (any field). The salary is expected to be equivalent to that of a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow, based on typical working conditions.

Phd. Stating Salary

Annual Salary Estimated Annual Salary: Approximately 4 million yen The annual salary is an estimated amount calculated based on base salary assuming full-time work (5 days a week, 8 hours a day). Overtime pay will be paid separately in full if overtime work occurs. Under typical working conditions, this salary is aimed to be equivalent to that of a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow.
