Work Detail

You will be responsible for visualizing diverse data related to people (medical images, genetic information, lifestyle habits, etc.) and analyzing it using machine learning. We analyze not only medical and life science data, but also data rooted in human life in fields such as architecture, agriculture, and food. Therefore, you will naturally develop adaptability to data diversity, a perspective that is not limited to a single specialty, and the ability to apply knowledge across disciplines. Furthermore, our company conducts collaborative research with many universities and research institutions. We place great importance on "not letting research results go to waste," and we also value the bridging process that connects research results to practical application and on-site implementation. Expected work responsibilities: Design and implementation of machine learning/deep learning algorithms, primarily in the medical and life science fields Implementation and analysis support of machine learning models based on collaborative research Algorithm development for diverse data related to people and life (medical images, architectural data, web-derived data, etc.), and applied development for problem solving Technical presentations, presentations at academic conferences and in papers Responding to technical inquiries from customers, and supporting the creation of proposal documents and improvement suggestions

Ideal Profile

Required (Difficult to obtain without these): Graduates of a mathematical or information-related academic field, such as Information Science, Mathematics, Physics, Life Sciences, or Information Science (Master's and Doctoral degrees welcome) Practical experience in data analysis or algorithm implementation using machine learning, statistics, and AI algorithms Experience in building and operating AI models using machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow Understanding of fundamental information science concepts such as algorithms, data structures, databases, and networks Interest in the life sciences field (knowledge and practical experience are not required) Native Japanese speaker or equivalent Japanese language proficiency (目安: JLPT N1 or higher) Applications from recent graduates are welcome, but we are looking for candidates with practical project experience or equivalent development experience. Welcome (but a plus): Experience in analysis and research using bio/medical data Experience in development and operation using cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.) Experience in designing, comparing, and evaluating algorithms tailored to specific problems Experience in implementing research papers, or attempting to do so Experience participating in and achieving high rankings in machine learning competitions (Kaggle, AtCoder, etc.) Experience collaborating towards the social implementation of technology (including research labs and internships)

What we especially look for in a PhD or postdoctoral fellow

Applicants with a background in mathematical or information-related fields such as information science, mathematics, physics, life sciences, or information science are welcome (Master's and Doctoral degrees are preferred).

Phd. Stating Salary

Annual Salary ¥5,300,000 to ¥7,500,000 is a guideline (commuting allowance is paid separately) *Includes overtime pay and bonuses.
