Work Detail
[Mission] "Enable software to handle all real-world information." Develop and validate cutting-edge technologies that contribute to solving market challenges, focusing on machine learning for processing real-world data. [Summary] To achieve this mission, you will lead the development of machine learning algorithms that solve domain challenges. In this position, you will contribute not only through practical development but also from a leadership position, identifying technical issues and developing plans for their resolution in both internal and contracted projects. [Details] Responsibilities: Define requirements, research, develop, and verify machine learning algorithms that solve domain problems (operation and maintenance are not included) - Lead development while communicating with team members - Engage in technical discussions and manage expectations with external stakeholders - Develop algorithms to process various sensor data - Identify vague domain requirements as clearly defined problems - Research, implement, and evaluate methods for addressing domain problems - Research and implement research based on papers, and develop and implement original methods - Optimize and streamline machine learning models to run on edge devices - Model design, manage experiments, summarize evaluation results, and organize next actions etc.
Ideal Profile
Required Skills - Master's degree in science or engineering or equivalent experience - Excellent knowledge of machine learning technology, particularly deep learning, and at least five years of practical experience (may include graduate research experience) - Experience developing technology to process one or more real-world data sets, such as images, point clouds, or audio - Ability to master cutting-edge technologies in English - Proficiency in Python and machine learning-related libraries and frameworks - Experience in leading a multi-person project and achieving results - Native or advanced business-level Japanese proficiency Preferred Skills - PhD in science or engineering - Experience in applying machine learning technology to the domain - Experience working on projects requiring external collaboration - Project management experience - Knowledge and skills in code review, image processing, computer vision, and computer graphics - Experience in efficient experiment management using computer clusters - Raspberry Development experience with edge devices such as Pi Desired candidate ・Ability to leverage existing technical skills while learning new technologies ・Ability to proactively tackle the entire process, from background research, problem identification, method selection, verification experiments, and implementation ・Ability to work backward from the goal and develop a plan before taking action ・Curious and enjoy learning new things, even in unfamiliar fields ・Ability to document information accurately and efficiently as a tool for information sharing and consensus building ・Ability to communicate professionally both internally and externally

Phd. Stating Salary
Annual salary: 7 million to 12 million yen *Our company determines salary amounts based on job grades. *Grades are determined by output level. *Details about output levels and actual salary ranges will be provided during the interview. *Separate year-end bonus available.
