[Responsibilities of the Position] To achieve our mission, you will develop machine learning algorithms that solve domain issues. In addition to developing machine learning technologies to be used in the next-generation mobility field, you will also work with leaders to identify technical issues and develop plans to resolve them. *This position is seeking an engineer for the AI Development Department, which primarily handles contract development work. As a machine learning engineer, you will solve domain issues and develop technologies that lead to the creation of new value. Phase(s) you will be responsible for: In collaboration with external parties, you will define requirements, conduct technical research, and develop and verify machine learning to solve problems (operation and maintenance will not be your responsibility). [Specific Job Description] - Developing algorithms to process various sensor data - Researching, implementing, and conducting evaluation experiments on methods for domain issues - Researching and implementing research papers, and devising and implementing original methods - Optimizing and streamlining machine learning models to run on edge devices - Documenting and summarizing the above processes using slides - Model design, experiment management, compiling evaluation results, and organizing next actions, etc.

Ideal Profile

Required Skills - Master's degree in a science or engineering field or equivalent experience - Knowledge and at least two years of practical experience applying machine learning techniques, primarily deep learning, to one or more real-world data sets, such as images, point clouds, or audio (may include graduate school research experience) - Ability to implement various deep learning and machine learning methods from scratch - Native Japanese or Japanese proficiency equivalent to N1 or higher Preferred Skills - PhD in a science or engineering field - Experience applying machine learning techniques to domains - Experience in team development, including code review and task management - Knowledge and skills in image processing, computer vision, and computer graphics - Experience managing efficient experiments using computer clusters - Raspberry Development experience with edge devices such as Pi Desired candidate ・Embody Idein's Values ・Ability to independently identify and solve technical challenges ・Ability to plan by working backward from the goal before taking action ・Curious and enjoyable, learning new things even in areas unfamiliar with the company ・Ability to document information accurately and efficiently as a tool for sharing information and building consensus ・Ability to communicate professionally both internally and externally
