[Responsibilities of the Position] You will develop machine learning algorithms that solve domain issues in order to achieve our mission. In addition to developing machine learning technology to be used in the next-generation mobility field, you will also work with leaders to identify technical issues and develop plans to resolve them. *This position is for an engineer in the AI ​​Development Department, which mainly handles contract development work. As a machine learning engineer, you will solve domain issues and develop technologies that lead to the creation of new value. Phase(s) in charge: In collaboration with external parties, you will define requirements, conduct technical research, and develop and verify machine learning to solve problems (operation and maintenance is not your responsibility). [Specific work content] - Development of algorithms to process various sensor data - Research, implementation, and evaluation experiments on methods for domain issues - Research and implementation based on papers, devising and implementing original methods - Lightweighting and optimization to run machine learning models on edge devices - Documenting and summarizing the above process with slides - Model design, experiment management, summarizing evaluation results, organizing next actions, etc.

Ideal Profile

Required skills ・Master's degree in science and engineering or equivalent experience ・Knowledge of applying machine learning technology, mainly deep learning, to one or more real-world data such as images, point clouds, and audio, and more than two years of practical experience (may include graduate school research experience) ・Ability to implement various deep learning and machine learning methods from scratch ・Native Japanese or Japanese proficiency equivalent to N1 or higher Preferred skills ・PhD in science and engineering ・Experience in domain application of machine learning technology ・Experience in team development including code review, task management, etc. ・Knowledge and skills in image processing, computer vision, and computer graphics ・Experience in efficient experiment management using computer clusters ・Raspberry Development experience with edge devices such as Pi Desired profile ・Someone who can embody Idein's values ・Someone who can autonomously discover and solve technical issues ・Someone who can work backwards from the goal and create a plan before taking action ・Someone who is curious and enjoys learning new things even in areas they have never worked on before ・Someone who can document information without excess or omission as a tool for sharing information and reaching consensus ・Someone who can communicate professionally both within the company and with others
