■ Job Description Algorithm improvements/proposals based on product economics knowledge ▼Examples - Predictive models for ad click-through rates/conversion rates - Product recommendations for dynamic retargeting ads - Ad creative selection algorithms - Optimal bidding strategies for ad space auctions - Experimental design - Verification of causal effects of in-store initiatives - Prediction of individual causal effects and bidding strategies - Advertising optimization based on location information and purchase data - Application of market design - Promoting behavioral change using nudges

Ideal Profile

◎ Experience with analysis, modeling, and visualization using Python and R ◎ Basic understanding of machine learning ◎ Basic understanding of econometrics and causal inference ◎ Ability to analyze and propose based on an understanding of business and operations ◎ Ability to research papers relevant to business issues and to interpret and reproduce those papers ◎ Ability to approach business issues from an economics perspective [Preferably] Approaching any of the above ◯ Past papers using econometrics and causal inference accepted in English peer-reviewed journals ◯ Past papers accepted at international conferences on machine learning and artificial intelligence ◯ Ability to propose improvements to algorithms based on data analysis ◯ Experience implementing machine learning algorithms
