Work Detail
In order to acquire, promote, and manage the R&D projects handled by the image group and strengthen the organizational structure, you will mainly be responsible for the following tasks in cooperation with the R&D Director, Deputy Director, and other group managers. ・Direct, manage, and evaluate about 10 group members together with one other leader. ・Work with sales members to understand client needs and propose R&D projects to clients. ・Grasp and manage the status of multiple individual projects (about 5 cases) managed by each on-site leader. (Decision-making to appropriately add/reduce people, things, and money / delegate/intervene in project promotion work) ・Guide and train group members (especially on-site leaders of individual projects). (※) Practical work such as coding is not expected. We expect you to be able to provide technical advice from a high perspective.
Ideal Profile
Required skills - More than 5 years of product development and research and development experience (including university and graduate school research) in the fields of image recognition, machine learning, etc. - Project management experience in the fields of image recognition, machine learning, etc. (Guideline: 3 years or more experience as a leader/manager in a section, group, team, etc. with 5 or more subordinates) - English ability to communicate at a minimum level in 1-on-1 and evaluation interviews with non-native Japanese speakers (Guideline: TOEIC 720 or higher) - Native-level Japanese proficiency Preferred skills - Experience of submitting, presenting, and reviewing papers at international conferences/domestic and domestic journals - Doctoral degree - Track record of activities at academic conferences in the fields of image recognition and machine learning - English ability sufficient for technical discussions with non-native Japanese speakers (Guideline: TOEIC 800 or higher) - Experience in patent creation/intellectual property strategy planning Desired profile - Someone who has a strong desire and interest in researching and developing services that are needed in the world by utilizing cutting-edge AI technology that is becoming increasingly generalized, and implementing them in society. - Someone who is willing to create appropriate rules to improve the organization and lead its members, rather than sticking to existing rules.
Work Location
Full remote work is OK (regardless of place of residence as long as it is within Japan)
Phd. Stating Salary
Annual salary: 6 million to 10 million yen *The above amount includes 25 hours of deemed overtime per month.
