Work Detail
"Research and development of 1 MeV ion beams for ITER HNB" funded by the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor Research and Development Subsidy. This project will carry out research and development work related to the design, analysis, prototyping, and testing required for the procurement of a 1 MeV accelerator for ITER's heating neutral beam injector (HNB) as part of the ITER project, and will also proceed with equipment fabrication.
Ideal Profile
1) Applicants must have a PhD in science or be expected to obtain one by the date of employment. 2) Applicants must have research and development experience in ion source plasma, ion beams, or vacuum equipment that handles ions. 3) Applicants must be able to communicate in English in order to collaborate with the ITER Organization and other organizations. 4) Applicants must be willing to participate in research meetings and experiments at the ITER Organization.

Annual salary system, determined in accordance with JAXA regulations. (Model annual salary: https://www.qst.go.jp/soshiki/8/31698.html) *For those over 60 years of age, the annual salary, including dependent allowances, is capped at approximately 4.2 million yen.
